About me -Morgan blaydon-smith
I am a sociable and enthusiastic person who also like to have a lot of fun am able to make people always feel comfortable with this I have confident to be able to talk to everyone and understand them .
I see this course as an opportunity to increase my knowledge and skills for creating great events. Its important to me that the events involved in make the people happy and the find them exiting and with a high energy.
Dairy Week 1
On my first week of college was new as it was not the same as last year this is because of covid-19. The new rule at college is that you have to wear a facemask at all times if you are sitting down eating or drinking. Also in that week i got my id bag sorted as i need to get it recoded so i could have accept to the music room and threat so i get on with my work,in the lesson on friday i got on with writing my swot analysis and set in my website site and the colours, the fort.
Dairy week 2
I started my week off with putting my swot analysis on my website then after me doing that I went to the meeting that we have every wednesday to come up with new things that we need to get down. In the meeting my group and I had come up with a name for a group website . (The name is Metconnect) we come up with this name because we want to get the website to be a place where the other students at the college can show there voice there voices and tell people what it is like in a real day in the life of a college student and to show them the how there are feeling when deadline are coming up.
Dairy week 3
This week i only come in on wednesday as i when to work on wednesday night and somebody tested positive for covid-19 meaning i had to go go in the lockdown by myself for 2 weeks during this time i record a week of a student on lockdown BY MYSELF meaning me with my phone.. with no wifi but i manage to send it to my mate faith and she haves started to put the video in order.

In lockdown (not in college) also in that week my test come back negative so i was back in collage for week 5

This week I'm trying to sort out all the logos for metconnect and my own website. The one for metconnect is hopefully bright and eye-catching so it stands out and then people will be able to recognize it and my logo is to match my website and the behind the scene feel.and show the prosite.
Dairy week 6
This week was the last week to check and make sure I have everything done for the deadline meaning for me I have to finish my logo and show which logo I'm going to use and why i like my final image after i have done this i will be finish of this week with my finally analysis
Dairy week 7
I was not in collage as some of my teachers was self isolating so I did work at home such as downloading my video from when I was in self isolation to Download on to google drive then on the a private YouTube
channel.
Dairy week 8
I wrote about the MET connect logo and made sure to get it finished. as a group we all made a tik tok /Instagram accounts for the MET connect website to give use different age ranges and up are promotional platforms. this also help to raise the profile up and more contact for more people to see. in this week i also did research in how to much a YouTube channel affirmative and catch your audience attention as this information is helpful to me when editing videos.

This week I did some on my video editing for the week in a life of a collage student in lockdown and as I was doing this I wrote and a 5 step way on editing a youtube video.

In this week I learnt how to write a personal statement for university and how UCAS works also this week I finished off counting up with my weekly dairy also making sure the all of my work is in the right place .

This week I was coming up with an idea on if I wanted to do an essay or presentation about "How covid-19 has effected teens aged from(16-19). In the end I picked an presentation!

In this week I started coming up with titles for my presentation and doing research on covid-19.
Dairy week 16
In this week I come up with an idea to have an interview with one of my mums mate who does events for a living, so I had a phone call with her to as if she would do an interview about her personal insight working in an events industry during a global lockdown.
Dairy week 17
On this week I came up with questions to ask my events manger that I'm interviewing. I ended up coming up with 8 question that I sent to her so she can have a head up on what she would like to say.

This week I have finished off coming up with title for the presentation and started to work on putting the research on to the PowerPoint presentation
Dairy week 18
On this week I manged to finished off my presentation and have a planned data on with I'm doing the interview which is the 1st of March at 2.30 meaning it will be up on my website by 5pm.
SWOT
My strengths from last year was my ability to be able to brainstorm ideas and nail the information that I needed to be able to get the result that I need in my project such as facts and information on events helping me understand the process of booking a venue. My other strengths that I have been able to see in myself is that I have grown my development with cavna.com and photoshop to understand the programs and make my images better quality.
One of my weaknesses is my planning time and time taking as I don't leave myself enough time to get all the plans I have made or want to do in time and not doing the thing I plan to my full potential with this i was unable to get the grade that i wanted so when Im planning this year i will be giving myself the time that i need and be able to learn how long it will take me. Another one of my weaknesses is to have faith in myself and my work as I cannot let myself doubt it as it affects my work and giving myself self mention to be able to get the work done in the time that i set for myself.
My opportunities with me doing this course is that I will be able to learn how to set up my own website and get it to a high standard that can help me with my way of getting in touch with events. Another one of my opportunities is that because of covid has meant that events are not due to happen as it would be too hard to social distance meaning i will have more opportunity to do online events and get an understanding for putting an event on online.
The threats that have cause and effects on my course is that covid has affected how we have to do events such as rules and regulations that I will have to read into.
